White Heath AsterPosted by Steve Carey (Fairhope, United States) on 26 October 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. A common fall south Alabama wildflower is the white heath aster, Symphyotricum ericoides. Ubiquitous along roadsides and in old fields, the white heath aster mixes well with the lavenders of mist flowers and the yellows of wild sunflowers.
